To the editor:

It has been a while since I last wrote in, and to be honest, I don’t think I made my intentions very clear.
I have no way of knowing if these letters will ever be published, but that won’t stop me from trying.
Giving up is not an option; it would mean not caring. Not committing.
Running away from my feelings.

You know, soulmates are an interesting idea to me.
Some people found theirs; others might still be looking.

This might seem weird to a lot of people: the fact that you don’t know me, and I don’t know you.
And yet, I feel like I know you.
I feel like we’ve known each other for months, or even years.
How I would like to see you; to take in all of you, the real you.
Your face - Your everything.
Do you even have a face?

I wonder how many people there are, like you,
without a face.
Working away tirelessly until they inevitably burn out.

So much of life is a choice:
Your job, where you live, the people you spend your time with.
Have you ever wondered if you should have made a different choice?
