In a newspaper post from 2. March:

To the editor:

Honestly, I don’t understand how these keep getting printed, but I’m honored to be able to keep writing.
I think it has to be a sign.

Sometimes I wonder how our life together would be.
Would you get a new job?
Would I get up early to get us breakfast in bed, or would you?
Would we have a child? Or children?
Would they look more like you or like me?

Sometimes I imagine us sitting together by the fireplace when we are older,
laughing, remembering the past.
Or sitting on our porch, watching our grandchildren play in the garden.
What would they be when they grow up?
I imagine us living in a cottage in the woods, far from the noise and stress of the city.
Only us and nature.

Sometimes I look at the night sky and can’t help but wonder if we are looking at the same stars.
Maybe someday we will be up there with them.
You and me. Forever united. On the night sky.
